Coyote Canyon Twilight

This was painted en plein air in the Anza-Borrego Desert. I began the painting just as the mountains shadows began creeping across the landscape and the late afternoon light began shifting to a twilight glow. I loved the contrast of the shaded foreground with the bright water reflecting the sky.
