"How 'bout 'dem Apples" is an oil painting done 'en plein air', on site, at the location. This lovely bunch of dark red apples was hanging next to a small shed in Roseburg, Oregon on a September day. I had noticed them a few days earlier and hoped I'd have time to capture them. They picked up a subtile gleam from the indirect light and interesting turns of the leaves that captured the light or turned into shadow. Much to my delight, I finally got to capture them in oil on canvas.
