The Rockville Cemetery in Rockville, Utah, is on Highway 9, just before the gates to Zion National Park. It's got one spectacular cemetery. The cemetery’s headstones are frequently stamped with Utah historic site markers. I found men who had been part of the 1849 Louis and Clark expedition, many members of the Hirschi family, and several sweet and heartrending headstones for babies. Over two days on site, I did a small painting of the gate and began the larger painting.
