An Old Friend

"An Old Friend" is an oil on panel. This is an old Sears Kit Barn in Duvall, Washington. As you can see by the image, the barn is quite delapadated, which grabbed my attention. In the barn's deteriating condition, I saw it as being full of character and worthy to paint before it's gone. This barn is a favored icon of Duvall, having served many purposes in its day. The community of Duvall is fundraising, hoping to fully restore it.
