Evening Descends

I was driving home to Idaho from Wyoming and pulled over to paint a quick study of the amazing light hitting the mountains. This is a larger version of that study and reminds me of home on a beautiful summer evening. Love trying to capture the shadows on the hills and relative calm and neutral colors of the ground plane in the shadow.
