Down Woodward ave depicts a foggy morning in Detroit. Acrylic on board. My goal was to create a realistic image from highly gestural brushstrokes, rollers and palette knives. I began with a photograph that I manipulated in photoshop to remove excessive detail. Using this as reference, I used masks and large gestural marks to create the image.
