Changing Sky

Oil on canvas. I walk on a trail through the marsh in Stony Creek, CT several times a week. I have painted this scene from the trail several times and it always looks different. The sky, the grasses, the water...it is like a kaleidoscope of combinations. I took some photos and made mental notes and went home and painted it quickly so I could capture the mood of the scene while it was still fresh in my mind.
