This young man wasn't a professional model. We talked a lot before he was able to relax and sit naturally. When I learned that he was a descendant of Norvesian parents, I gave him book of Ibsen's plays, which are so popular in Europe. From that moment he forgot about modelling, his muscles softened and I was able to paint him.
