Impresiones de Iberia #5: Tavira Travessa

I like to travel in Spain and Portugal. I particularly like the old parts of the cities and the small, remote villages. I’ve gathered many images and have recently started a large painting project to document my impressions of the Iberian peninsula. This painting, the fifth in the series, is of a small lane, called a travessa, in the old town area of Tavira, Portugal. I especially liked the wild bougainvillea overrunning the lane, the arrangement of potted plants and trees, and the play of shadows and light on the walls.
