Impresiones de Iberia: #5: Tavira Travessa

I like to travel in Spain and Portugal. I particularly enjoy the older parts of cities and the small remote villages. I’ve gathered many images and have recently started a large painting project to document my impressions of the Iberian peninsula. This painting, the fifth in the series, is of a small lane, called a travessa, in Tavira, Portugal. I was especially attracted to the wild bougainvillea overtaking the lane, all the potted plants and trees and the play of shadows and light on the walls.
