Elephant Bulls Field Sketch

Sketching in the African bush is a vital part of my art, and elephants are some of my favorite subjects. These 2 bulls were browsing among the trees. They can disappear at any time so speed is of the essence. I start with a pen sketch, created from life as I watch them, then I add the watercolor later in the day, purely from memory and imagination.
