This Oil paining on an ampersand panel was inspired by a photo taken at a photo shoot in South Dakota. It was a daytime photo, but as I developed the painting, I felt the time of day did not lend any excitement to the image. hmmm. Maybe a sunset? I started to play with the colors and eventually this is what emerged.
