Over the River

The inspiration for this piece came from a family car trip. We were crossing a bridge at night, and I was transfixed by its remarkable view of the ongoing moonrise. I managed to stay in my lane, and along with my wife's usual request for me to keep my eyes on the road, I managed to let the colors get seared into my memory as these inspired moments can. Later, in the safety of my studio, I painted it from those memories.
