Knitting Lesson

This was a little magic moment in our family's life. My wife was learning how to knit, which is now a major hobby for her, while our daughter was hanging out and entertaining herself. I combined some golden snapshots of the two of them with painting the surroundings from life, which is in my studio, so I didn't have far to go. For me this piece is a charming display of togetherness, which can still allow for the child's world and the grownup's world to be different. There is room in that warm circle for everyone to be themselves.
