Mother Nature and the Abandoned

I spent most of my time on Ko phangan, Thailand painting. There is so much beauty on this island. The scenery, nature, people, and food are all so beautiful and inspiring. Initially, I chose this landscape to paint, because It was close to my bungalo. The flowers really captured my eye. Then I realized that I captured apart of the island that people usually look past. I was thrilled when I seen the old building hiding behind the bush. There is so much beauty in abandoned things. I love the look of something man-made being claimed back by mother nature.
