Ander's Stick Cantata

Looking for unexpected beauty I went down to my neighbors yard where he had been gathering sticks from two recent storms. The pile of sticks was almost as tall as me ... a monsterous galumphing kind of pile. His intention was to burn it but I asked if he would mind waiting while I painted it....he said sure and then waited two weeks of full painting days for me to finish. I called it Ander's Stick Cantata because Anders is my neighbor and he loves classical music...it was like a choir of sticks. Birds coming and going, mosquitoes and changing light. I loved the potential energy suggested in this soon to be pire.
