This painting is a portrait of the artist's daughter in a windswept landscape. The landscape was inspired by the rural area surrounding the artist's home. The title "Covering" is a biblical reference to the moment Eve left the garden and entered the wilderness and also refers to the young girl entering the unknown of her future.
