The Creek House

This painting was inspired by the famous boulder filled creek at St. Peter's Village. The water seemed to just play on the rocks like the rest of us. I noticed the cottage as I waded upstream and found my composition. I did my usual color studies for various ingredients, drawing so as not to forget import things impacting my inspiration, and a detailed photo shoot. These prepared field notes were brought back to the studio where I worked to create the final composition and work.
