Wild Cabbage

This was an early spring scene on the wetlands of my farm. the light was just so brilliant and the earth was red next to such spring green. I proceeded to gather color paintings and drawings on panels along with a thorough photo shoot to compile this composition trying to capture contrasts of complimentary colors...things dead and alive, and strong lights against the underneath darkness. The final work was completed in my studio.
