This is another painting I did based on one of many numerous times spent in the famed Outer Banks of North Carolina. The actual old derelict boat shown was full of disregarded lumber from carpenters who were rebuilding the waterfront pier area in Manteo. The old boat caught my attention because of the light and shadow contrasts mingling with the reflections of the water and the textures of the grasses.
