This painting depicts the main marina in Manteo, North Carolina. Manteo is part of the famed barrier islands of the Outer Banks along the North Carolina coast (a.k.a., home of Andy Griffith and “The Lost Colony”).
I was taken in by the light reflecting on the main boat and the contrasting water colors. I also liked the unusual design of the boat.
