Mt. Bachelor From Tumalo Mountain

When the sun begins tucking itself in for the night in the mountains, the values of much of the landscape become somewhat equal, but color temperature begins to steal the show. I love playing with these temperature shifts in a painting, and in this particular view from midway up the mountain opposite the mountain in the distance, it was that perfect moment to capture those exciting contrasts.
