Picnic at the Point

Studio watercolour based on plein air sketching done on location at Point Prim, on the shores of the Bay of Fundy. The play of colour in the tousled golden grasses of a coastal meadow, highlighted against the deep colours of the evergreens were what appealed to me in making this painting.
